My Gang
Sooo, I am pretty sure that I got blessed with the most beautiful family in the whole wide world. I am so grateful that God gave us each other, where we can grow and are constantly learning how to love one another. What a life we live! There were 7 of us, now there are 8 including my sister in law, soon there will be 9 including my future best buddy forever with my little niece or nephew! (we don't know the gender yet and it is killing me!) I am just gonna tell ya'll some stuff about us and how we roll. Words that describe us: loving, silly, honest, genuine, loud, kind, generous, christian, strong and much much more. I suppose I am a bit biased, but you know, that's just how much I love us. (my family that is). We have traditions just like any ordinary family would. We go to church on Sundays, (well most of us ;), we go bowling, we go eat at a Chinese place that has the best egg rolls, that is our family favorite, and the biggest thing that we do when we are together is laugh and celebrate the good good life that we are living together. If there is one thing that my family has taught me, it is that you must love the ones around you, and love yourself. Love is the center of any good relationship or friendship. The biggest thing that they have taught me though, is that God is love, therefore, we must have God in our lives to live a life full of love. WOWZA! This is a lot easier said than done. The cool thing is though, is that no one is perfect, and my family has made our fair share of mistakes, but God being who he is; still loves us and forgives us no matter what.
For years, every summer my family would go to California and rent a beach house. Occasionally, we'd switch it up and go to Iowa for a family reunion, or Washington State to visit my brother. Although, I love traveling with my family and just being with them, I would much prefer to just stay here in my comfort zone and just be surrounded by my loved ones. Because my family loves me too much for me to just stay in one place all the time though, they take me along with them graciously. :) Last summer, we went to Ocean Side California, and took my grandparents with us. Man, did I feel blessed that they could make it out there with us. It was one of the best summers in my books!
I think that my gang defines love in a beautiful way and we try to care for others to the best of our ability. Of course, we do not always succeed at this task but we support and encourage each other daily to do so. I thank God every day that he placed me in the family that I am in, I couldn't feel more blessed to have my family by my side each and every day! We are each other's blessings and we are lucky enough to realize that.
What a life we live. Enjoy it,
Maggie
You are so lucky. Love and appreciate the ones around you is something every one should remember to do. I’m curious what your favorite Chinese place is?
