Surrender

                                                                      SURRENDER.

Surrender | Study | Revive Our Hearts

I have been thinking a lot about this word lately. It takes a lot to surrender your life to Jesus. But if we remember what Jeremiah 29:11 says, we are reminded that He knows his plans for us. I don’t know about you but it’s hard for me to fully grasp God's plans that I know He has for me. But the one thing I do know is that His ways surpass any of my ideal desires in life. As hard as that is to believe, I can confidently say it. His plans are better than mine.

I’m still practicing fully surrendering my heart to Jesus, but once I do, I will feel more peace within, and my heart will not always feel so heavy. For now, I am relying on his love and forgiveness which he makes me worthy of even though I did nothing to deserve it. Counting my blessings even when life feels messy or when I’m in the middle of things being messy has been one thing I am working on. This has been hard but I know that the more I practice these things, the better I will be at giving my life to Jesus.

At the end of the day, I am thankful for another opportunity to live and learn, and I know that is what matters most. I am thankful that Jesus led me to where I am today. If there is one person who will never give up on you in life it is him. Surrendering your all to Jesus is a lot of work, don't get me wrong. But it is and will be worth it.

Anyway, just some unsolicited advice: Do not forget to count your blessings and feel gratitude even for little things, for they could be a big win in God's eyes.

What a life we get to live.
