Seasons of Life

Let's talk SEASONS...

Recently, I have been feeling like I am in a dry season. I have been feeling more distant from God even though I don't want to be and I have been stuck in this type of rut that is not something that I desire to be in. Even though I have been feeling this way, I have also been feeling God's goodness and love for my family and I. If you don't know my family, all you need to know is that we are closer than most and we are special. From a non-biased opinion of course. ;)  We have had strangers compliment our love for one another and we are proud of that. We try our best not to take one another's forgiving natures for granted. Naturally, we are not perfect at this all the time but we try our best.

To be in a dry season can feel self defeating and it can feel uncomfortable at times, but I am learning that if we first except that we are in this type of season, and press through it, that is when we will be able to see the light shine through. SO... Know that you are loved. Know that God is true and He is Good. Know that even though he is mysterious and can be quiet at times, does not mean that he doesn't want you to get close to him; it just means that he wants you to try a little harder to find him. Know that you are forgiven and no matter what you do or how badly you feel about it, God's love for you is EVERLASTING. Wow. What a life we get to live.

So friends, I invite you to open your hearts towards the Lord. If you are Christian, Catholic, non religious or against any kind of religion but know that there is something bigger and better than the world we are living in. Open your hearts, talk to God and ask him to remind you how LOVED you are. I can't promise that He will speak back to you, but what I can promise you is that he listens to every word you tell him because that is how much He cares for you.

What a life we get to live.

Enjoy it,
Maggie
